“The components that DLC cladded applying the diamond laser technology proved significantly more wear resistant than any other form of laser cladding we have used by other providers. We were able to make some relevant comparative data in the same well and same formation in a long section. It was revealed that the diamond laser cladding provided very impressive results in terms of wear resistance and protection…(on) components that were in the hole for 280 rotating hours. Other providers with a tungsten carbide hardfacing only achieved 80 rotating hours before wear occurred.”
